Is there anything new in canXpek.com?


There are hundreds of job sites. There are many career advisers. What the heck canXpek do differently?

It is a platform, and independent platform, a transparent system where the services of career advisers are used by both candidates that are looking for a job and companies that want to fill their vacancies. Candidates get a chance to meet and take advice from the best in the industry and then get ranked by them. Companies can get a way to cut the time and money required to do recruitment. The platform gives a way to rank or rate both candidates and mentors. Candidates are rated by the career advisers for theirs skills, attitude,etc. Career advisories are rated by companies for their ability to provide the company with the right candidates.

The whole system is independent. It does not support any particular career adviser. Anybody can join the platform , provide their services and get ranked by the companies. Candidates have wide choice to select among the career advisers. Companies also have the freedom to select the career adviser with whom they want to work.



It is transparent as all transactions are registered. A candidate profile will look something like this.

1) When was the first meeting with the adviser? What ranking was given and what advises were given.

2) When was the second meeting. Is there any improvement in the rank? Is the candidate a fast learner?

3) How many type of career advisers did the candidates meet and what was his ranking in each these cases.

Companies can ask another career adviser to take an interview of the shortlisted candidates before they provide an offer to them.

Resumes are lies


When you invite somebody to come and stay in your house you are probably taking a big risk. They can play havoc in your house. They can destroy everything. But it could be the other way too, they can bring a lot of opportunities, they can change your life.

Recruitment is a very difficult process. Bringing a new person  to the company can be risky but it can also open  new opportunities.  How do we know what monster is coming to our home?  Resumes are the first indication. But are they only true lies?

A whole industry thrives on getting people recruited to good companies. It is like virus manufacturing factories. They want to blind you and make you admit a monster into your home. Companies spend a lot of money trying to stop them, all those money that they could have been used for their real business.  Every one of us is spending our money to promote this "war".

It is time that we address this pain. It is time that we disrupt this whole Resume manufacturing business. CanXpek is still in beta, but I am running a whole campaign through Facebook. 


Is it a product that is capable enough on taking on these lies?

Put the cart before the horse

My friend called me "Do you know any body with Xyz programming skills?"

You called me at the right time, I am about to meet a young man who is looking for a job.

"What is Xyz sir? They taught us Abc"

But the demand for that is almost over. How did you choose that?

"A lot of people are getting very high salary, so everybody says learn Abc"

Is there any training institute teaching Xyz?  

"None"

And the industry need hundreds of trained people in  6 months. A lot of systems are getting replaced. 

How can we create training institutions that can make money by knowing the actual demand and not by cheating students?

Are you interested in making some quick bucks?

What goals should drive a mentor?   Is it all about making quick money? Do we need to be answerable about the final outcome?

CanXpek will be a place where mentors, academicians and  training institutes  meet companies and candidates. The key role will be played by the Mentor.

The mentors need to have long term goal, they have to build their profile. Mentors should not be acting like street vendors that sells pills and medicine. They should act more like good doctors. They should be able to identify the disease,  prescribe medicine and  see that the patient is cured. They cannot do a disappearing act.  Our mentors give advice with a promise.

That is why we in canXpek believe that one should build their profile. Offering free advice is a a good way to start. The free advice does not mean that you have no promise to keep.  If the candidate follows your advice then he has to ultimately enter the industry. We will be continuously monitoring this and will give you a higher rating based on the feedback from candidates and the from the industry.

The number people who had successfully entered the industry through your mentoring will be a part of your profile.   We will also have trustworthiness rating. A higher rating do mean that you are more successful than others in keeping your promises. We recommend people to deal with Advisers of higher rating, but we do not prevent anybody from dealing with Advisers of lower rating or no rating. We also take action based on the complaints that we receive. You could be banned  or your rating could be lowered from high trustworthiness to low trustworthiness if the complaints are proved to be right.

Did we successfully confused you about canXpek?

Are you confused of canXpek?  Go ahead and blame me. All I know is to try again and again. And here is some more explanations.

Who is the best people to give you a career advice? This should be definitely the people working in the industry, is it not? Right now., the difficulty is this. How am I going to meet such people? Where should I hunt? That is where canXpek come handy. We maintain a list of people who are ready to help you. We may not be able to remove all the hurdles on your way, but we will show you a path. We also promise to show you a transparent path and not a hidden one.   It does not matter whether you are in a metropolitan city or in a remote village, you can request for a talk with an expert. We just connect both of you and then leave it you when and where you want to meet.  Sometimes the expert may not be ready to meet you straightaway. In that case he will specify what you should do to have a meeting arranged with him. For example he can say that you need to meet a few other people before he will give audience to you. Even when he turns down your request  he will have to tell you why he cannot. We are continuously monitoring the work of all our career advisers, You can always complain to us about anyone. Any career adviser who is not able to fulfill their promises will be removed or black-listed.

How many times people had told you the reasons why you are not selected for a job?  Not many? Well that is also an issue that we are trying to solve. The career adviser will have  to tell you the exact reasons for not selecting you for the job.  They are acting as a bridge between you and the job. They are suppose to give you a chance to improve or make changes in your career path. They are responsible to find you a job or tell you the exact reasons why they cannot .


A lot of people are working on bridging the gap between education and the industry. People have suggested and brought out a lot of solutions like finishing schools.  Probably the best way is to integrate the industry and the education, but it is not happening. Meanwhile a lot of new changes are coming to education too. Online leaning has become a new reality. Peer group help has been a part of industry for a long time.  We are trying to bring all these solutions to your doorstep using career advisers.

Three scenarios of mentoring


Scenario one : This is a mentor initiated scenario.  In this case mentors decide to form a team. We will have set of guidelines for the team constitution. Every team will have an entrepreneur to make sure that the team is focused on industry needs.  A candidate will have to talk to different members before his skills are rated. The team may meet together before giving the candidate an advice. 

Scenario two : This is a candidate initiated one. Candidate can request an appointment with a mentor. A mentor may accept the request or will ask another mentor to talk to him before approving his request. For example the mentor may be a senior person in industry and he wants to filter the candidates. 

Scenario three : This is a company initiated one. The company may send a request to a mentor  asking him to supply candidates with a set of skills. In turn the mentor may send candidates from his list or will start another interview session to filter candidates.
